With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jan Schoonhoven of Piedmont, Alabama, who passed away on May 25, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Esma Jean Schoonhoven; his daughter Linda Fay Doster; and his parents, Tunnis Schoonhoven and Johanna Schoonhoven. He is survived by: his children, Jerome Schoonhoven (Edna) of Piedmont, Brenda Mitchell (Joseph) of Georgia and Kathy Cross (Randy) of Washington; and his grandchildren, Lisa Harvey (Kevin), Joseph Mitchell II (Katey), Steven Doster (Elka), Adam Doster (Jamie), Christy Taylor (Joshua), Amanda Doster, Kasondra Burns (Chris), Brandon Cross (Jessica), Marissa Naylor, Joshua Cross, Jerome Schoonhoven, Jr. (Carley), Aaron Schoonhoven (Stephanie), Leann Rochester (Jamie), Cody Wright and Jessica Johnson. He is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren; two great - great grandchildren; one sister; two brothers and several nieces and nephews.
