He is survived by: his wife Joyce Carter of Piedmont; his sons, Glen Carter (Susan) of Cumming, Shawn Carter (Lori) of Jacksonville and Darren Carter (Cynthia) of Vietnam; his grandchildren, Harrison Carter, Avery Carter, Devin Carter, Aubrey Carter, Dawson Carter and Adam Carter; and his siblings, Lavanual Carter of Piedmont Springs, Loyal Carter of Piedmont and Joann King of Piedmont.
