She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Dewey Frank Whisenant; her parents, Buford Nathan and Dena Floyd of Piedmont, Alabama.; her brother Archie Paul Floyd; and her daughters, Shirley West (Gene) and Shelia Mulkey (Philip). She was also cherished by five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kid One Transport in Birmingham, Alabama which was started in memory of Georgia's grandson, Colin Spenser Mulkey.
