She was predeceased by: her son-in-law Gary Gresham; her parents, Charlie Fortenberry and Ruth Trammell; her close friend James "Smokey" Buttram; her siblings, Annie Mae Ford, Irene Chandler, Ed Fortenberry, Hubert Fortenberry and Eugene Fortenberry; and also Betty Fortenberry.
She is survived by: her daughter Rita Pruitt Gresham (Gary Gowens) of Spring Garden; and her siblings, Shirley, Hazel (Ray) and Jimmy Fortenberry (Judy) of Piedmont. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
