She was predeceased by: her husband B. B. Simpson; and her parents, Larry McFry and Bessie McFry. She is survived by: her children, J. B. Simpson (Julie) of Northport, Bruce Simpson (Wanda) of Piedmont, Tina Simpson of Piedmont and Angela Garrison (Richard) of Denver, CO; and her grandchildren, Chris Simpson, Tony Simpson, Victoria Tice, Amanda Tice and Drew Garrison. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and several niece and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home & Crematory (6340 Old Piedmont Gadsden Hwy, Piedmont, AL 36272). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the McFry Cemetery.
