She was predeceased by: her husband John Henry Melvin Beal; and her sons, Thomas Maddox and Jackie "Tat" Maddox. She is survived by: her children, Darlene Marshall, Donnie Maddox and Keith Maddox; and her siblings, Sarah Louise Williams and Billy R. Tolbert. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
