It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Louell Cole (Phil Campbell, Alabama), who passed away on August 12, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Hightower and Carrie Hightower; her husband Tillman Cole; her son James Thornton, Jr.; and her siblings, Eloise Shellnutt, Louise Cagle, Betty Faye Mobley, Bobbie Fell, Nellie Jo Greely, Cuethal Hightower and Ronald Hightower.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Thornton, Kay Middleton and Diane Thornton; her siblings, Iva Lee Dobbins, Shelia Kimbrough and Eddie Hightower; her grandchildren, Cynthia Willis, Dennis Thornton (Shanda), Brady Thornton, Thomas Thornton (Megan) and Nuttida "Dream" Chomphukkawin; her great grandchildren, Abigail Thornton, Taylor Thornton, Spencer Thornton, Grace Thornton, Olivia Thornton, Makaela Rushing and Madison Hyde; and her great great grandchild Alora. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
