She was predeceased by: her sons, Teddy Alan McAlister and Marlon Joil McAlister, Jr.; her parents, Rufus Baker and Eula Baker; and her brother J. C. Baker.
She is survived by: her husband Cecil James; her grandson Andrew McAlister; her children, Michael James (Lucy) of Shelbyville, TN, Tina Ortiz (Pedro) of Jackson, TN, Becky White of Phil Campbell and Baretta Saint of Phil Campbell; her siblings, Betty McAlister (Olen) and Bobby Baker (Faye); her sister-in-law Virginia Pickard; her nieces, Annette Wells and Theresa Gasaway; and her nephew Greg Baker. She is also survived by 10 other grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
