She was predeceased by: her parents, Norris Pinkney Allrid and Mary Frances Jarrell Taylor; her husband Robert "Bob" Durell Dawson; her siblings, Jeannine Duke, Ann Randall and Billy Allrid; and her stepfather Frank Taylor.
She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth Dawson (Deborah) and Rodney Dawson (Angie); her grandchildren, Rebecca Rosas (Mark), Robert Dawson (Meredith), Bailey Dawson, Rachel Reimers (Ryan) and Braxton Dawson; and her great grandchildren, Aly Mae, Clark and Ruthie.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Summerville Baptist Church (3500 Summerville Rd, Phenix City, AL 36867). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at the Philadelphia Baptist Church (7807 Lee County 246, Smiths Station, AL 36877).
