He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edgar Powers and Louise Quick Powers; and his wife Barbara Booth Powers. He is survived by: his children, Andrea Shirley (Kevin) of Columbus, GA, Scott Powers (Allison) of Alpharetta, GA, Chad Powers (Sharon) of Phenix City, AL and Chip Powers of Steamboat Springs, CO; his grandchildren, Ashton Powers, Katie Jacobson (Sam), Clayton Shirley (Sarah), Railey Schramm (Bo) and Adalyn Powers; his great grandchildren, Iris Shirley and James Schramm; and his siblings, Joy Boan of Rockledge, FL and David Powers of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
