He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Spurlin and Annie Spurlin; his wife Patricia Anne Spurlin; and his siblings, John Spurlin, Mae Spurlin, Charlie "Richard" Spurlin, Roy Spurlin, Nazzelle Spurlin, Annie "Maude" Spurlin, Wesley Spurlin, James "Jimmy" Spurlin and Arnold Spurlin.
He is survived by: his siblings, Wade Spurlin and Dorothy Hughes; his children, Joanne and Wilbur Owens Spurlin Jr. (Lori); his grandchildren, Brittany Wilson, Jeffrey Wilson (Cassie), Garrett Tillery, Markaya Tillery Eyler (Forrest) and Martin Spurlin; and his great grandchildren, Isabella Moody, Tyler Wilson, Faith Wilson and Paisley Eyler.
