With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Newton Carter Sr. of Phenix City, Alabama, born in Athens, Georgia, who passed away on April 3, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parent T. Frank; his former wife Ramona Lee Bannert Carter; his son Robert Newton Carter, Jr. (Mary Dorian Lee); and his brothers, JC and David Carter.

He is survived by: his grandson Robert Braden Hutchinson of Cumming, GA..
