He was predeceased by: his father Robert Archie Duffey; and his siblings, Harry Robert Duffey and Betty Ruth Moseley. He is survived by: his daughters, Darla Duffey Lowe (Duncan) of Thompson's Station, TN and Rhonda Duffey Edwards (David) of Columbus, GA; his sister-in-law Yolanda Bowery Townsend (Bruce) of Kingsport, TN; his grandchildren, Andrew Duncan Lowe, Jr., Richard Lane Edwards, Abigail Claire Lowe and Samuel Duffey Lowe; and his best bud Robert "Reb" Edwards. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
