She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Crow and Sybil Nicholas Merritt; her husband Harry L. McElwee; her siblings, Bobbie June Grattet, Hurston Nicholas and Freddie Crow; her siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Nicholas and Lou Grattet, Sr.; and her nephew Lou Grattet, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Heather Hudson (Josh) of Smiths Station, AL and Bryan McElwee of Phenix City, AL; her grandchildren, Braden Hudson and Bella Hudson; her nieces and nephews, Darlene Grattet, Ruthanne Kelm (Jeff), Allison Nicholas (Cecil), Allen Nicholas (Debra), Wayne Waldrep and Stacy Waldrep; her sisters-in-law, Sandra Crow and Phyllis Ivy (Bill); and her pet Ginger. She is also survived by numerous other extended family, and many caring friends.
