It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Myrtle Marler Wise of Phenix City, Alabama, who passed away on December 17, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Marler and Willie Pearl Stokes Marler; her husband James Harold Wise; and her siblings, Conrye Marler, Buck Marler, Johnny Marler, Rowe Marler and Lillie Phelps.
She is survived by: her sons, Gerald Wise of Smiths Station, AL and Brent Wise (Stacy) of Phenix City, AL; her sister Betty Simmons (G. T.) of Phenix City, AL; her grandchildren, Lacey Becker (Dave), Ivey Lapidus (Josh), Ellie Woodham and Addison Woodham; and her great grandchild Alice James Becker. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family.
