With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Harris of Phenix City, Alabama, born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, who passed away on January 7, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walton "Jake" Short and Gillie Russell Short; her husband Finis Harris; her daughter Patricia Butts; and her siblings, Jerri McKinney and D. N. Short.
She is survived by: her daughter Cindy Davis (Randy); her sisters, Kay Tarbox, Pat Shawley (Bill) and Barbara Thomas; and her grandchildren, Bryan Montgomery (Kenda), Allen Montgomery, Cleverley Easter (Todd), Christin Taylor (Brandon) and Trey Davis (Bethany). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, extended family members and many caring friends.
