She was predeceased by: her father Heyward L. Griggers; her husband John Brinkley; and her son Heyward Karl Watson. She is survived by: her children, Connie Watson Whitmer (Tommy), James W. "Bud" Watson, Jr. and Robert Keith Watson; and her sister Rhoda Griggers Thompson. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
