She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Othal Avant and Lillian Hazel Avant (Jones). She is survived by: her son Stephen "Chris" Myers of Phenix City, AL; and her siblings, Robert "Bob" Avant (Tamara), William "Bill" H. Avant, Wanda Sue Avant Wilchar and Carolyn Blankenship. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
