She was predeceased by: her father George Doctor; her husband James Ford; her stepmother Elizabeth Doctor; her siblings, Burrell, George, Jr. of Adell, Mary Doctor Wilson and Lorene Doctor Moses; her stepsiblings, Lonnie Luckerson, Eddie Bell McCoy and Lillie Mae Jackson; her children, Leroy Ford, Willie James Ford and Ruby Ford of Washington; her children-in-law, Charlie Mahogany and Tommie Mae; and her great grandchild Mason L. Ford.
She is survived by: her children, Delois Ford Benton, Gloria Ford Mahogany, Josephine Ford and Johnnie Ford of Phenix City, Alabama; and her siblings-in-law, Thelma Williams of Phenix City, Alabama, Louise Ford of Phenix City, Alabama, Georgia Luckerson of Phenix City, Alabama and James Moses of Detroit, Michigan. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, many adopted children and friends.
Lessie later joined Oasis Church International serving faithfully until the pandemic.
