She is survived by: her sons, James Harlan Jr., Henry Cecil and Carlton Jason Hurst; her grandson James Harlan III; her daughter Jessica Annette Owens-Maldonado; her children-in-law, Jonathan Maldonado and Teresa Owens; her grandchildren, TJ Owens, Harlan Owens, Lane Owens, Marley McCard and Regan Owens; her siblings, Dallas Short, Betty Jean and Carlene Smith (Richard Short); and her niece Sonya "Sunshine" Ferrell.
