It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karon B. Burgess of Phenix City, Alabama, born in Demopolis, Alabama, who passed away on June 24, 2024, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Broughton and Janette Gibbs Broughton. She is survived by: her husband Thomas G. Burgess; her siblings, Sharon Cargile and Kenneth Broughton, Jr. (Joni); and her nieces and nephews, Meredith Schiff (Adam), Tori, Janet, Bailey and Kolson.
