He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin E. Hammond and Margaret Everidge Hammond; his wife Ruth Beck Hammond; his daughter Lucy Renee Dake; and his sister Gwen.
He is survived by: his son Johnny Earl Hammond, Jr.; his grandchildren, Timothy Dake, Jacob Dake and Carol Elizabeth Dake; and his great grandchildren, Wesley, Paisley, Aubrey, Aurora and Lorelie. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and many caring friends.
