She was predeceased by: her father Walter Gentry. She is survived by: her mother Frances P. Chaney; her children, Willie James Bass, Jr., Minister Frances Nicole Bass "Nikki" and Jacqueline "Jackie" Harris (Oscar); her grandchildren, Shannon Nicole Bass, Alexandria Celeste Butler (Marcus) and Rachel Lynne Bass; her great grandchild Calvin Alexander Butler; her grandchildren, Annie Mae Hodge, Myrtiss Dawson, Cassandra "Fay" Bass and Cal Thomas; and her cousin Shady Grove C. M. E. Church. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
