It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay N. Carter of Phenix City, Alabama, born in Selma, Alabama, who passed away on October 14, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Carter and Ruby Carter. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Riddle Carter of Phenix City, AL; his children, Shannon Prather (Adam), Jason Carter (Carissa) and Krissy Collins (Grant); and his grandchildren, Jacob, Caleb, Anna, Brianna, Emma, Sara, Lily, Norah and Jase. He is also survived by companion, "Baxter"; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
