He is survived by: his children, Lisa Schaetzer (Ronnie) and James Brian Smith; and his grandson Jesse Schaetzer (Candice). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great- great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
