It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herman Edward Niles of Phenix City, Alabama, born in Brantley, Alabama, who passed away on August 27, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harman Jackson Niles and Vera Bell Deavers Niles; his sisters, Voncile Brazier and Ruby Maddox; his stepson Mark Haywood; and his grandchildren, Benjamin Self, Robert Joseph Green and Crystal Burnham.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Dozier Niles; his children, Joe Wallace Burnham, James Burnham (Nellree), Mike Edward Niles, Tim Haywood, Rodney Niles, David Niles, Janice Mace (Reid) and Felica Turner (Glenn); and his siblings, Margie Ganus (Larry), Marvin J. Niles and Eric Niles (Jeanette). He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and four precious great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
