He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Cooper and Florence "Virginia" Cooper (Rikard); his son Stuart Benjamin Cooper; and his siblings, James Cooper, Charles Laverne Cooper and Linda Hardin.
He is survived by: his children, Anthony Cooper of Anoka, MN, Laurie Lafferty (Peter) of Waynesboro, VA, Allison Cooper of Buffalo, NY, Justin Cooper (Breana) of Phenix City, AL and Erin McCutchen (Michael) of Ashland, WI; his siblings, William Cooper (Kathy) of Carterville, IL and Gladys Springhart of Marion, IL; and his half-brother James David Parris (Monica) of Marion. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nephews, nieces, friends.
