With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Hartley Perkins of Phenix City, Alabama, who passed away on September 22, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivy James "I. J." Hartley and Selema Boutwell Bundy Hartley; her husband Tommie Perkins; her son John Paul Stewart, Jr.; and her granddaughter Aleisha Stuart.
She is survived by: her children, Virginia Gilbert, Linda Evelyn Martin (Fred), Eloise Stewart and Bobby Jack Stuart (Linda); and her sister Ruthie Jane Meeks. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
