She was predeceased by: her parents, Bardie Thomson "Tompie" Abernathy and Mary Alice Howell Abernathy; her husbands, Joel Edward Scott and James Thayne "JT" Cochran; and her siblings, Melissa Cochran, Elsie Kerce, Elma Cox, Ottie Mae Abernathy, Luther Abernathy and Richard Abernathy.
She is survived by: her son Richard "Ricky" Scott (Connie) of Phenix City, AL; her grandchildren, Richard Scott (Cheryl) of Augusta, GA and Jo El Doolittle (Adam) of Augusta, GA; her great grandchildren, James Rittwage (Lizzy), Calleigh Doolittle, Addison Doolittle and Savanah Smith; and her great great grandchild Sage. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
