It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Johnson (Phenix City, Alabama), who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mattie Varner and Paul Varner. She is survived by: her husband Cornell Johnson; her daughter Yolanda Varner; her sisters, Geraldine Marion (Willie) of Hammond, IN, Joanne Howard, Betty Varner, Phyllis Pass (Clifford), Lola Allen of Columbus, GA and Tressa Varner of Hurtsboro, AL; her grandson J. B. Cobb J. R of Columbus, GA; her sisters, Jarshaun Cobb of Columbus, GA, Jayden Cobb of Columbus, GA and Jhalil Cobb of Columbus, GA; her siblings-in-law, Loretta Johnson, Janet Johnson, Barbara Johnson, Carolyn Johnson, Sylvester Johnson of Washington, D. C., George Johnson of Washington, D. C., Herman Johnson of Washington, D. C. and Coran Johnson of Washington, D. C.; and her cousin Charlie Campbell. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the C. T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home (1514 5th Ave, Phenix City, AL 36867).
