With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edith Mathews Odom (Phenix City, Alabama), born in Opp, Alabama, who passed away on October 14, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Horace Mathews, Sr. and Alma Lee Peavy Mathews; her husband Victor G. Odom; her sister Cordellia Turvin; her daughter Janice Hedden; her grandson Jerald Hedden; and her great grandchild Jaden Myers.
She is survived by: her daughter Judy Myers (Duane) of Opelika, AL; her siblings, Betty Hall, Cubedine Dickerson (Jimmy), Nadine Rehburg, Jacqueline Smith and William Horace Mathews, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Janine Smith (Michael), Jason Hedden, Brandy Meroney (Randy) and Mitchell Myers. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
