She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Scott and Cora Lanier Scott; her husband Carson Delone Mitchell; her son Carson Wayne Mitchell; her sister Mozelle Johnson; and her stepmother Lula Mae Morris.
She is survived by: her son Alan Mitchell (Carol) of Franklin, NC; her daughter-in-law Barbara Mitchell of Phenix City, AL; her sister Dona Edenfield of Garden City, GA; her grandsons, Brent Mitchell, Jason Mitchell (Holly) and Jonathan Crockett (Dana); and her great grandchildren, Hannah Mitchell, Riley Mitchell, Amelia Crockett and Caroline Crockett. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 135 in Phenix City, AL in memory of Mrs. Mitchell.
