It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Layfield of Phenix City, Alabama, who passed away on January 25, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowdy Layfield and Lucille Layfield; his brothers, David Jackson Layfield and James Harold Layfield; his daughter-in-law Marsha Layfield; and his grandsons, Christopher Layfield and Donald Paek, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his children, Carol Paek (Don), Jack Layfield (Marty), Neal Layfield (Cris) and Jan Crowley (Bill); his brother Clifford Layfield; his grandchildren, D. J. Layfield, Jennifer Humphrey, Elizabeth McAshan, Andrew Paek, Laura Gutierrez, Joni Anderson, Danielle Crowley, Hannah Crowley and Marci Crowley; and his great grandchildren, David, Maci, Jenna Grace, Kierra, Ashlyn, Rowan, Violet, Daphne, Roxas and Luna.
