We are sad to announce that on October 17, 2023, at the age of 90, Billy Joe Griffin of Phenix City, Alabama, born in Opelika, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferry Lee Griffin and Vennie Lou Jones Griffin; his wife Alma L. Griffin; his siblings, Mary Hightower and William H. "Boot" Griffin; and his son-in-law Neil Fernander.
He is survived by: his children, Vickie Griggs (Seabo) of Phenix City, AL, Brenda Fernander of Sharpsburg, GA, Beverly Scott (Jeff) of LaGrange, GA and Wayne Griffin (Wanda) of Phenix City, AL; and his grandchildren, Derek Griggs (Miranda), Daryl Griggs (Amber), Eric Griffin (Michelle), Cathryn Pease (Adam), Jake Scott (Morgan), Toby Scott (Mary), Ashley Jennings (Camp) and Justin Fernander (Kirstin). He is also survived by extended family and friends.
