He was predeceased by: his siblings, Alfred Stephens, Bobby Stephens and Nancy Lahman; and his parents, Howard Eugene Stephens and Dora Ethel Jones Stephens.
He is survived by: his sons, Brian Stephens (Susan), Michael Stephens (Denise), Scott Stephens (Lesha) and Bradley Stephens; his sister Stephanie Stephens; his grandchildren, Kristi, Courtney (Adam), Andrew (Lindsey), Cameron, Cade and Charlee; and his great grandchildren, Bella, Evie Jo, Oakley, Emerson and Hadley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
