He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ramsey and Bertha Ramsey; his daughter Suzanne Ramsey; and his brother David Ramsey. He is survived by: his wife Nan Ramsey; his children, Aimee Ramsey (Shon), Andrea Minder (Chris), Stephanie Fugett (Adam), Shawn Dougherty, Marshall Dieas, Daniel Dieas and Matt Houchins (Laura); and his sisters, Lorna Stubbs (Bobby), Linda Marshall (Terry) and Rachel Bolton (Matthew). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
