He is survived by: his wife Betty Ruth Farrar; his children, Rick Farrar (Kim) and Katherine Farrar Cornelius (Mitchell); his grandchildren, R. Matthew Farrar, Adrian Farrar Thomas, Brittany Cornelius Hicks and Chelsea Cornelius Prestridge; and his brother Harlon B. Farrar. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
