He was predeceased by : his parents, Jack Franklin and Patty Franklin; and his brother Rex Franklin. He is survived by : his wife Denise Oglesby Franklin; his sons, Carlton Andrew Franklin and Brantley Kenneth Gerhardt; his grandchildren, Willie, Waylon, Carly, Sophia, Madison and Victoria; and his siblings, Vernon Franklin (Brenda) and Tracy Bergman (John). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
