He was predeceased by: his son Jefferey Lynn DuBose Sr.; his grandson Jeffrey Lynn DuBose Jr.; and his parents, Johnny Lewis DuBose and Willie Grey Northam DuBose. He is survived by: his wife Sue Pat DuBose; his son Lewis Brent DuBose (Jenny); his grandchildren, Lisa Goins (Matt), Lataste DuBose and Lewis DuBose; his daughter Judy Denise DuBose Lockwood (Jeff); his grandchildren, Rory Bush and Justin Bush (Jessica); his daughter Suzanne DuBose Garrett (Ryan); his grandchildren, Marcella Wollam (Keith), Brandon Garrett (Danielle) and Layne Grace; his son Johnny "J. J." Max DuBose Jr.; and his grandchildren, Johnny "Trey" Max DuBose III, Connor DuBose, Sarah DuBose, Khara DuBose, Kristan DuBose and Kelsey DuBose. He is also survived by twenty-two great-grandchildren.
