It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Preston Nail Sr. of Pell City, Alabama, who passed away on August 3, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Levis and Henry Frank Nail; his wife Rebecca Hester Nail; and his siblings, Frances Stewart, Margaret Turner, Harry Nail, Howard Nail and Richard Nail.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Nail (Kay) of Sylacauga, Nancy Carter (Stanley) of Prattville, Mary Rentz of Salem and Mac Nail of Ridgecrest, California; and his grandchildren, Laura Mims (Todd) of Hoover, Cindy Hoffman (Jason) of Hoover, Jay Owen (Jenny Suk Chin) of Madison, Elizabeth Ann Woodfin of Prattville, Charles Carter (Michelle) of Prattville, Lucy Stone (Greg) of Columbus, Levi Rentz of Salem, Lewis Rentz of Salem, Andrew Nail (Brigham) of Birmingham, Alex Uselton (David) of Wilsonville, Jordan Nail of Birmingham, Jane Nail of Birmingham and James Clark Nail of Birmingham, Alabama. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
