She was predeceased by: her parents, James B. Scarbrough and Alice Y. Scarbrough; and her brother Beau Scarbrough. She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Schoppert; her children, Yancey Henry (Lew) and Logan Schoppert (Caroline); and her grandchildren, Kayte, Mary Emerson, Beau, Michael and Kennedy.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials in her memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at http://www.stjude.org.
