He was predeceased by: his parents, James Duncan Weems Jr. and Katherine Pope Weems; and his father-in-law H. W. Malone. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Malone Weems; his brother David Michael Weems Sr. (Suzanne); his children, Jennifer Weems Zoumberis and Chris Weems (Krystle); his grandchildren, Madilynn, Anthony Zoumberis, Raedyn, Harlynn and Weston Weems; and his family, Ann Malone, Kaye Garrison (Jim), Larry Malone (Nell), David Michael Weems Jr. (Weronika), James Edward Weems (Julia), Amanda Malone Franklin (Kevin), Casey Malone Brown (Adam), Blake Campbell (Dena), Scott Campbell and Paul Garrison.
