With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Owen Oliver Atkins Jr. of Pelham, Alabama, born in Columbus, Mississippi, who passed away on February 3, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Oliver Atkins, Sr. and Stella Loe Atkins; and his sister Joyce Atkins Conn. He is survived by: his wife Glynda Birdsong Atkins; his children, Timothy Lawrence Atkins (Laura Lamb Atkins), Amy Atkins Bell (Roger Gerald Bell) and Jeffrey Scott Atkins (Heather Blanton Atkins); his grandchildren, Emily, John, Amanda Atkins, Daniel, Kaitlyn Bell, Hannah Dodson (Dallas), Hayley Reeves (Luke), Cole Atkins, Mary Grace Atkins and Addi Joy Atkins; and his great grandchildren, Jayden, Brayden and Baylor Reeves.
Flowers can be sent to Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama or donations may be made to Indian Springs First Baptist Church in memory of Owen Atkins.
