He was predeceased by: his parents, Stonewall Taylor and Vista Taylor; and his siblings, Imogene Taylor, Willodean Hudson, Louise Hamby and Theron Taylor.

He is survived by: his wife Gail Cox Taylor; his stepdaughters, Darlene Taylor Sellers (Jeff) and Angie Pretnar Sullivan (Mike); his grandchildren, Caleb Sellers, Brooks Pretnar, Jacob Sellers and Bella Pretnar; and his great grandchild Aston Pretnar. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
