He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Rodolphus "Red" Owens; his grandmother Cora Elrod; his wife Frances Brasher Hill Owens; his daughters, Donna Hill Thompson (William "Pal") and Michelle Owens Kendrick; his grandchildren, Francesca "Frankie" Thompson, James "Jamey" Thompson (Elizabeth "Liz"), Skylar Caton Rockwell (Daniel) and Nick Warner; his great grandchildren, Scarlett Ann Rose, Kyndle Caton and Luca Rockwell; his siblings, Kenneth Tolbert, Eugene Owens, Terry Hutcheson and Phyllis Clopton; his uncle Fate Tolbert (Ann); and his aunt Pauline Gilbert (Melvin).
The church has enough space to allow for social distancing.
