Jo Beth Drysdale Newton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jo Beth Drysdale Newton (Pelham, Alabama), who passed away on September 4, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James D. Drysdale and Frances W. Drysdale; and her sister-in-law Ann C. Drysdale. She is survived by: her husband Robert W. Newton; her son Bert; her daughter-in-law JoAnna Newton; her son Ross; her daughter-in-law Allison Newton; her brother James (Liz Drysdale); her uncle L. T. Ward; and her grandchildren, Reese, Owen, Hank Newton, Thomas, William and Patrick Newton. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bob and Jodi Newton Endowment for Character Education, established at Samford University in the Orlean Beeson School of Education.
