He is survived by: his wife Sally Hill Roberts; his sons, William Donald Roberts, Samuel Keith Roberts (Gerri) and James Kirk Roberts (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Samuel Preston Roberts (Mandy), Savannah Roberts Boykin (Connor), Wilson Mathew Roberts and William Henry Roberts; and his great grandchildren, Samuel Emory Roberts, William Beau Boykin and Benjamin Keith Roberts. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
