He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Tapscott and Gracie Lynn Tapscott; his daughter Meaghan Tapscott; his sister Paula Tapscott Rogers; and his parents-in-law, Peggy C. Hopper and Lewis Winston Hopper of Hazard, KY..
He is survived by: his wife Renee Deason; his stepchildren, Josh Deason (Nikayla Goodrich) and Makenzie Black (Hunter); his grandchildren, Chloe, Caroline Deason and Beckham Black; his siblings, Peggy L. Dye (Jim Dempsey), Beth Romano (Claude) and Greg Tapscott (Sharon); and his sister-in-law Robin Howard. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
