It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Fred Hedges (Pelham, Alabama), who passed away on July 29, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie McElrath and Colonel Nugent Hedges; and his siblings, Calvin Hedges, Edwin Hedges, Frank Hedges and Doris Hedges Gallemore.

He is survived by: his sister Martha Hedges Jordan of Cary; his children, Linda Hedges Dewberry of Indian Springs and David Alan Hedges of Auburn; and his grandchildren, Claire Crews Dewberry, John Ralph Dewberry III, William Clark Hedges, Charlotte Ann Hedges and Avery Jane Hedges.

Because he loved helping others, in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Samaritan's Purse.
