It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Jerome Maier (Pelham, Alabama), born in Aberdeen, Mississippi, who passed away on March 5, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Beeks Maier, Sr. and Inez Johnson Maier; his siblings, Dr. Frank Beeks Maier, Jr., Wiley Johnson Maier (Bill) and Inez Maier Stewart; his nephew Frank Beeks Maier, III; and his siblings-in-law, William "Bill" Stewart and Jean Maier.

He is survived by: his wife Camille Reed Maier; his daughters, Miriam Maier Bearden (Mike), Maria Maier Sulser (Craig) and Missy Maier Russell; his grandchildren, Michelle Bearden, Madison Bearden, Tanner Sulser (Bella), Tristan Sulser and Jacob Russell; his sister-in-law Judy Williams; and his nieces and nephews, Leigh Anne Bertelsen (Craig), Anne Sill (John), Susan Hooten (Jay), Beth Kyle (Marc), Claudia Singletary (Paul), Craft Maier (Jennifer), Charles Stewart (Wendy) and Dr. Bob Stewart (Wynde).
